NORTHUMBERLAND, Va. – There were two separate shootings within eight hours at a Northumberland home this week, and officers arrested a person of interest in the case, after a 24-hour hunt. The first shooting occurred at approximately 7 p.m. on August 2 in the 1000 block of Light Street.

The victims were identified as Darvell Kelly and Kendrick Diggs, both residents of Northumberland County.  Diggs was shot three times: in the back of the head, the back, and his  shoulder. Kelley was shot in his upper chest, according to Sheriff Wilkins.

Then, according to law enforcement, at 3:39 a.m. on August 3, another shooting call was reported at the same address.

The victim of this shooting was Laquita Palmer. Palmer was asleep on her couch when a person in an unknown vehicle fired into the residence wounding her in the shoulder. Multiple bullets penetrated along the length of the trailer, Wilkins said.

All three victims were flown to VCU Medical Center for treatment of their injuries and their conditions are unknown at this time. Diggs had surgery to remove the bullet from his head.

Stanford Cintaz Bromley, also known as “Lil Wac”, was sought as a person of interest in these shootings.

Bromley is a black male with a date of birth of July 12, 1994. He is approximately 6’4″ tall and weighs between 165 and 175 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a black shirt and tan shorts. He has brown eyes and black hair worn in short dreadlocks.

Police are not sure what events transpired before this crime and said that the victims are not being cooperative. The motive is unknown.

Bromley was considered armed and dangerous and police said previously that no attempt should be made to apprehend the subject. Anyone making contact with this individual is asked to contact your local law enforcement agency immediately. Police said a tipster helped them located Bromley.

Anyone with information regarding the crime is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (804) 580-5221.
