Clouds kept temperatures below 90° in many areas on Wednesday, but sunshine will push temperatures into the 90s Thursday afternoon.  The high humidity will make it feel above 100° during parts of the afternoon.

A cold front will approach late in the day with scattered storms developing ahead of it.  Storms will be scattered, so not all areas will receive rainfall.  However, the storms that do form will tap into the muggy air and unleash heavy downpours.

Isolated storms could produce strong wind gusts, especially north of Richmond.

Storms will end tonight, and less humid air will filter into the region on Friday.  Humidity levels will creep back up over the weekend, and it will be muggy again towards late Sunday into Monday and Tuesday.
