RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond police have identified the man found shot to death on Richmond's Northside early Saturday morning.
Police were dispatched to the 400 block of East Ladies Mile Road for reports of a person down around midnight.
When officers arrived, they found 22-year-old Bashawn Boyd, of the 1500 block of Presidential Drive in Henrico County, shot to death. Officials said he had been shot several times.
Forensic units also arrived and began processing the scene.
"Right now we don't have any leads in this case and community's help is very important to bring closure to this case," Richmond Police Chief Alfred Durham said early Saturday. "Evidence technicians are on the scene processing the scene and hopefully we can bring this case to a quick closure."
