Man arrested after $10,000 in property stolen from Colonial Heights homes, cars

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. — A Blackstone man was arrested and charged in connection to a string of home burglaries and car break-ins. The crimes happened between July 7 and July 10, according to Colonial Heights Police. On July 12, Stephen L. Adams Jr., 23, was arrested and charged with burglary, grand larceny and grand larceny with intent to sell, police said.

“There were five residential burglaries and six thefts from vehicles reported,” police said. “Over $10,000 in property was stolen including several firearms.”

Evidence left at one crime scene led police to Adams. Additional charges against Adams are pending, police said.
