CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va -- Jonathan Basham has “a lot of mixed emotions” since his wife Candy Basham returned home safely after being reported missing this weekend.

“I’ve probably slept 10 hours in the last four days,” Basham said.

Basham said he is both relieved and angry about why he didn’t hear from her until Wednesday.

“I’m very upset about it,” Basham said.

The Chesterfield mother was reported missing over the weekend after she went to North Carolina to visit her children, but she never showed up.

“She’s been unconscious and nobody knows where she’s been for the last four days,” Basham said.

Yet, Basham said his wife did admit that she met up with a male friend to do crack cocaine. “They got a little high, after that I don’t know what happened to her,” Basham said.

In an attempt to get answers, Basham said his wife is being tested at St. Mary’s Hospital for rape and any signs that she was drugged. Basham said he also hoped to stop her drug use.

“We’re probably going to try to get her into rehab today or tomorrow,” Basham said. “She’s made mistakes but everybody deserves chances.”

Basham said if the tests do reveal she was drugged or raped he will go straight to police.
