RICHMOND, Va -- The Better Business Bureau is warning about a part-time work-from-home job opportunity that could land applicants in jail.
The BBB says a company called Premium Line Logistics is offering two to three thousand dollars for three to four hours of work a day, which can be done from home. The company has even posted the listing on Career Builder.
The employee receives packages, then re-ships them to the business.
What the employee does not know, though, is that the packages being received and re-shipped are items the company has bought with stolen credit card information. By re-shipping the items, the employee becomes an accomplice to grand theft larceny.
The BBB recommends being very cautious with work-from-home job opportunities. Applicants should visit the physical address of the business to make sure it is legitimate.
As for Premium Line Logistics, the BBB says its website-listed address is not recognized by the postal service as legitimate.
