RICHMOND, Va. -- Thousands helped stir up a cure for childhood cancer during the annual Anthem LemonAid community-wide event.

The special program featured local kids hosting LemonAid stands to raise funds for children with cancer. LemonAid sales benefit the Hematology and Oncology clinic at Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU.

According to the Anthem LemonAid website, more than 100 participants raised more than $10,000.

Stands were set up at area Walmart, Kroger, Sam's Club, Panera Bread and in neighborhoods across Central Virginia. [List of stands to find one near you! Or click here if you would like to donate right now.
