RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond was ranked as the seventh most dangerous place in Virginia, according to a website. This just a day after city leaders announced crime is trending downward.
The website said it analyzed data from the FBI's Uniform Crime Reports from the last three years. However, it only analyzed places in Virginia with populations of more than 1,000 people as of 2013, which is the last year the report was available.
Here are the places that make up the top ten most dangerous list:
- Portsmouth
- South Boston
- Norfolk
- Appalachia
- Roanoke
- Emporia
- Richmond
- Franklin
- Petersburg
- Tappahannock
