PETERSBURG, Va. -- Police are investigating a bottle throwing incident during the Confederate Flag Run in Petersburg. Video of Saturday's incident was posted on Facebook and viewed more than 1,000,000 times.

"Today detectives are looking at numerous pieces of evidence to see exactly what happened," Petersburg Police spokeswoman Esther Hyatt said. "We still only have one complainant file a police report, even though there were numerous suggestions that there were multiple victims."

No injuries were reported.

"If any of those victims are so inclined, they need to come forward now, because that could help us with our total investigation," Hyatt said.

Organizers of the weekend Confederate Flag Run said 145 trucks took part. The trucks traveled from Petersburg through Dinwiddie and Chesterfield counties.

The event, organizers said, was to show support for the flag in the wake of its removal from outside the State House in Columbia, South Carolina.

"You can ban the flag on a government building, but you cannot ban the flag in your hand or in your house, that’s freedom of speech and that’s one thing we will always have," organizer Jerry Dyson said. "It’s not racist. It’s not a man in a robe, or a man who shoots up a church or a school to represent us all. It’s not. It’s history."
