PETERSBURG, Va. -- A man was shot on Cameron Street in Petersburg early Friday. According to police, he got into his car and drove two blocks to the Wythe Food Market in the 800 block of Wythe Street.
The victim knew the owner of the store. The owner contacted 911 for the bleeding victim, who was shot multiple times.
The owner of the store asked shoppers to leave and locked the store, fearing that the shooter could be in pursuit.
The owner who knows the victim well as a customer, said he is concerned for his well-being.
Petersburg Police have not yet released any information about a victim, nor a suspect. Police have not yet confirmed a shooting took place overnight. This remains a developing story.
