HOUSTON, TX – If every dog has its day, this day belongs to a golden lab named Devon. The four-year-old Labrador Retriever has been through a lot.

Found on a Fort Bend County road, the dog had been dragged behind a car, shot, and left for dead. When the Fort Bend County Animal Shelter examined her, she had multiple fractures to her right rear paw and a bullet still lodged in her right shoulder. Devon needed surgery and fast.

So, Texas-based lab rescue, Save-A-Lab, spared no expense to give Devon an new leash on life. Three months later and Devon is ready to jump aboard with Pilot`s for Paw`s and head to her new home in Atlanta.

Let’s hope she gets some good TLC in the ATL.
