RICHMOND, Va. — A Richmond Christmas shopping tradition is coming to an end. The Holiday Shoppers Fair at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden will celebrate its 21st and final run in November. The fair attracted shoppers looking to buy items from Richmond-area museum gift shops, including specialty items perfect for holiday gift-giving. Proceeds from the sale benefited the participating museums.
“After 21 years, the Museums Stores of Richmond feel the event has run its course,” Beth Monroe, Public Relations and Marketing Director of Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, said. “The store representatives continue to meet and are discussing what they might like to do next.”
Monroe said the Garden Shop manager is open for suggestions from people in the community about what the stores could try next.
The final Holiday Shoppers Fair will be held November 6 and 7 at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. For more details visit http://www.lewisginter.org/.
