ASHLAND, Va. -- A fire damaged a commercial building in Ashland early Wednesday morning. Firefighters responded to a call for a structure fire in the 200 block of South Washington Highway at around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. When they arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the building, which was under construction.
Once inside, they found a small fire, which they put out quickly. Firefighters remained on the scene later into the morning as they investigated the fire.
