Cancellation: 32nd annual Genworth “Celebrate Freedom” Independence Concert and Fireworks schedule for Friday, July 3rd has been cancelled. The event will not be rescheduled.

Other Fourth of July Celebrations:

Henrico County Division of Recreation and Parks annual Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration, Saturday, July 4th from 1- 5pm at Meadow Museum/Crump Park, 3400 Mountain Road in Glen Allen. Free event featuring pony rides, crafts, face-painting, music, games and entertainment, listen to a historic reading of the Declaration of Independence and don’t forget to or deck yourself out in red, white and blue. Ashland’s July 4th at the Center parade steps off at 11:00 a.m. at Henry Clay Elementary and heads down shady and tree-lined Hanover Avenue and wends its way to end at the Hanover Arts and Activities Center where there will be music, food and old fashioned lawn games. Following the parade, there will be a patriotic concert and sing a long on the lawn of the Hanover Arts & Activities Center, featuring the Hanover Concert Band. Quill Theatre (Richmond’s Shakespeare Festival and Henley have joined) present The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) special performance Saturday, July 4th, at 7:30pm at Agecroft Hall, 4305 Sulgrave Road. Directed by James Alexander Bond, starring Thomas Cunningham, David Janosik and Alexander Sapp. Bring your picnics, the grounds will open at 6pm. Tickets are $25. The 17th Annual Richmond Shakespeare Festival 2015 Theatre Under The Stars at Agecroft  Hall! “Hamlet” July 9 – August 2 directed by Dr. Jan Powell, doors open at 6pm. Thompson Wyatt Post 2 – Red, Bike and Blues 2015, Concert and Motorcycle Contest, Saturday, July 4th, noon – 4:30pm at  30 Franklin Street (Old BB&T building), corner of Washington & Adams Street, Petersburg.
