Henrico County Division of Recreation and Parks annual Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration, Saturday, July 4th from 1- 5pm at Meadow Museum/Crump Park, 3400 Mountain Road in Glen Allen. Free event featuring pony rides, crafts, face-painting, music, games and entertainment, listen to a historic reading of the Declaration of Independence and don’t forget to or deck yourself out in red, white and blue. Ashland’s July 4th at the Center parade steps off at 11:00 a.m. at Henry Clay Elementary and heads down shady and tree-lined Hanover Avenue and wends its way to end at the Hanover Arts and Activities Center where there will be music, food and old fashioned lawn games. Following the parade, there will be a patriotic concert and sing a long on the lawn of the Hanover Arts & Activities Center, featuring the Hanover Concert Band.
