CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. - Rizwan and Krystal Sajjad make a living by selling refurbished computers. The couple recently posted an ad on Craigslist looking for someone to buy two MacBook Pro laptops. A man named "Arnold" contacted them, asking them to meet Sunday night.

"I knew Kroger was going to stay open until midnight, so I asked him to come over and meet me over here," Rizwan Sajjad said.

Sajjad said the man met he and his wife inside the Kroger on Huguenot Road at the Starbucks where he went over details about the computer for around 30 minutes.

"We showed him all the features, we have him the passwords, this is all part of what we do," said Krystal Sajjad.

The couple said the man bought the laptops, giving them $1,300 in cash.

"We didn't really take a good look at it right then because the guy was right there and he was sounding so real," Krystal said.

The couple said the next morning, they discovered the man paid them with counterfeit bills.

"The dead giveaway was that all the bills had the same serial number," Krystal said.

They called police and said they would be much more cautious when it came to taking cash from anyone.

"It's not something that anyone should have to go through," said Krystal Sajjad.
