CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Police identified the woman killed in a Saturday night crash on Hull Street Road as Shaniqua G. Brown, 23, of New Kent. Brown was the passenger in a Mercury Mountaineer that ran off the road and hit a tree.
“The driver of the Mercury and a passenger [Shaniqua G. Brown] were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries,” Chesterfield Police wrote in an email.
Brown was pronounced dead at the hospital. A second passenger was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash which occurred at about 8:10 p.m. as strong storms moved across Central Virginia.
