One dead, two hurt after SUV slams into tree near Skinquarter Farm Market

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. – One person has been killed and two people have been hospitalized following an accident along Hull Street Road in Chesterfield Saturday night.

The crash happened in the 21400 block of Hull near the Skinquarter Farm Market around 8:10 p.m.

Chesterfield police said a Mercury Mountaineer was heading west when it crashed into the median and then hit a tree. Officials said the driver and passenger were ejected.

Both were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officials said the passenger died of their injuries at the hospital.

Additionally, a juvenile was taken to an area hospital with what officials said were non-life-threatening injuries.

The names the victims are not being release until authorities notify their next-of-kin.

Police are still investigating the cause of the wreck. There has been no word yet if weather was a factor.
