More above-normal warmth for June

After having the sixth warmest May on record, the outlook for June suggests more above-normal warmth is ahead.  The National Weather Service’s Climate Prediction Center’s new monthly outlook shows an above-normal temperature trend.    Normal highs for the month climb close to 90° by June 30.

Normal rainfall for June is 3.54″.  The precipitation outlook for June also suggests an above-normal trend.  This follows a May that was about two inches below normal.
