CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. – Pavement work is causing major backups on Route 288 north in Chesterfield County Thursday evening.
As of 6:15 p.m., VDOT reported traffic was backed up five miles north of the Iron Bridge Road interchange.
That’s where crews have closed the left lane for pavement repairs.
Drivers, who are advised to expect delays, are encouraged to use a different route.
