Man dies after crashing ATV near Chesterfield home

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — The man who landed in a Chesterfield driveway after he was thrown from an ATV has died, according to Chesterfield Police. Michael G. Jamieson, 41, of Tazewell, Va., lost control of the ATV and crashed Monday night at around 8:20 p.m., police said.

“Police continue their investigation into this crash,” a Chesterfield Police wrote in a Thursday morning email. “At this point, the investigation indicates Jamieson was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.”

The crash happened in the 3600 block of Hamlin Creek Parkway. Police said Jamieson was riding a 2014 Yamaha ATV on the road when he crashed.
