WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- It was graduation day on Saturday at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg where former U.S. Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice was this year's commencement speaker.

Rice served as the 66th Secretary of State from 2005 to 2009. She was the second woman and first African-American woman to hold the post.

Rice addressed a crowd of about 10,000 people in William and Mary Hall.

More than 2,000 students received their diplomas along with Rice, who received an honorary Doctor of Public Service degree from the college.
