Tropical Storm Ana made landfall around 6 a.m. Sunday near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with maximum sustained winds around 45 mph. Winds had been as strong as 60 mph Friday night and Saturday.
By Sunday evening, Ana had weakened to a tropical depression.
The remnants of Ana will pass southeast of Richmond on Monday, and off the northeastern USA coast on Tuesday. 
Final rainfall amounts of two to four inches will be likely across eastern North Carolina, with some isolated higher totals.
Local impacts for much of our viewing will just be an increased chance of some showers and thunderstorms Monday, especially south and east of Richmond. The rain will be scattered, so it will not affect everyone. Closer to Virginia Beach, winds will gust over 20 mph and over 0.50″ of rain may fall. Wave heights will be in the 3 to 6 foot range through Tuesday morning, along with the risk of rip currents.
