RICHMOND, Va. -- The driver of the tractor trailer that overturned and backed up traffic on Interstate 95 Friday morning in downtown Richmond told police the truck's hood suddenly flew up and made him lose control near Belvidere Street exit. The crash, on Interstate 95 south, closed lanes in both directions.

"The truck was loaded with latex gloves, there were no injuries or other vehicles involved," Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. Steve Vick said.

Traffic was backed up more than five miles at times. All lanes reopened and traffic returned to normal at about 12:30 p.m.
