Route 10 in Hopewell reopens after wreck

UPDATE: VDOT said that all lanes had reopened by 6 p.m. 

HOPEWELL, Va. — An accident has shut down Route 10 (E. Randolph Road) in Hopewell Thursday afternoon.

VDOT reported that all lanes of the highway were closed at Hummel Ross Road around 5 p.m.

As of 5:45 p.m., VDOT had set up the following detour:

Westbound: Take Rt. 10 west to Ruffin Rd. (Rt. 106) south to Prince George Dr. (Rt. 156) north back to Rt. 10 west.

Eastbound: Take Prince George Dr. (Rt. 156) south to Ruffin Rd. (Rt. 106) north back to Rt. 10 east.
