NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. — Virginia State Police identified the truck driver killed in an April 22 crash on Interstate 64 as 51-year-old Mark B. Stone of Garland, Texas. The single-vehicle crash happened at about 7:50 p.m. in the westbound lanes near Exit 220.
“A 2005 Freightliner tractor trailer was traveling west on Interstate 64 when it ran off the road left struck a tree, partially overturning,” Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. Steve Vick said. “The truck spilled a large amount of diesel fuel; it was loaded with rolls of fiberglass.”
Stone was wearing a seatbelt, investigators said.
