POWHATAN COUNTY, Va. — State police have released the name of the victim killed in a crash earlier this month in Powhatan County.

Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. Steve Vick said the crash happened early Sunday, April 5 at 12:43 a.m. in the 1500 block of Walkers Ridge Road.

Vick said that 22-year-old Logan W. Bagby of Powhatan was killed after the green Ford Ranger pickup he was driving north on Walkers Ridge Road ran off the road and struck a parked 2010 Toyota Corolla. The truck then kept rolling before striking a tree and busting into flames.

Officials said that speed was a factor in the crash.

State police had asked for the public’s help in identifying the driver of the green pickup, which appeared white after the fire.
