CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Eleven Swift Creek Middle School students who recently represented their school at the Model United Nations are featured in the Student Spotlight.

Emma Geisler also served in Model Congress, Michelle Pak published three articles and the team of Bus Baker and Sheridan Lee won an award representing the United States on the Legal Council.  All of the students did a fantastic job, often being recognized to speak and even cosponsoring legislation.  They are:  Maddie Leonard, Olivia Applerouth, Lauren Taylor, Daniel Rogan, Alaina Jencik, Madison Barden, and Michael Ogunlade.

Students met former Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and helped raise $10,000 for a human rights charity. Swift Creek Middle School is one of only two middle schools in the county with a government club and one of only three middle schools in Chesterfield County Public Schools to participate in this statewide event, which also includes high schools!
