PHOENIX, AZ — It’s a happy update to a story we first brought you earlier this month. A blind Golden Retriever named “Wesley” has found his forever home.

Wesley was found abandoned in a Phoenix alley back in December, and he was in bad shape.

Veterinarians were forced to remove Wesley’s eyes because they were unable to function and were causing him pain.

Vets also treated the dog for a suspected autoimmune disorder, which, without medication, was causing irritation and inflammation to his mouth, face and other mucus membranes.

Wesley got plenty of TLC from the Arizona Humane Society and some loving foster families. Now he’s healthy, but will still need care for the rest of his life.

One special lady has now stepped forward to take in Wesley, and has brought him to live in Show Low, reported KTVK.

Wesley will share the home with his new mom and three new Labrador brothers.
