NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. — It was a very good week for retired U. S. Marine Marvin Herbich. The Lanexa man bought a Virginia Lottery Scratcher ticket over the weekend and won a $225,000 prize. On Monday, he showed up at the Virginia Lottery office to collect his prize. Herbich said he planned to spend his new, found fortune to help pay off his mortgage.
Herbich bought the winning ticket, a Joker’s Jackpot ticket, at Lanexa Plaza at 15081 Pocahontas Trail.
