CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Two wrecks backed up traffic on I-95 north in Chesterfield County Wednesday afternoon.
VDOT reports that a two-vehicle wreck closed the interstate’s left and center lanes at Woods Edge Road.
State police said the other accident happened on I-95 north just before mile marker 67 approaching the Pocahontas Parkway exit.
Virginia State Police said fire and rescue crews have lanes blocked, which caused heavy congestion.
As a result, traffic was backed up 5.5 miles as of 5:15 p.m. VDOT said all lanes reopened around 5:30 p.m.
