PETERSBURG, Va. --Police are searching for suspects in a Saturday morning homicide. Police said someone call 911 at around 3:50 a.m. and reported seeing what appeared to be a body in the street at the intersection of North Carolina Avenue and High Pearl Street in Petersburg.
Upon arrival police found 20-year-old Delmirrio R. Murdock of Petersburg gravely wounded. Murdock died shortly after 4 a.m. at Southside Regional Medical Center. The cause of death will be released pending autopsy results.
Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to call Petersburg-Dinwiddie Crime Solvers at 861-1212. If the information leads to an arrest in this case, the cash reward could be $1,000.
