RICHMOND, Va - St. Baldrick’s Foundation is once again inviting Richmond to ‘Brave the Shave’ at this year’s Church Hill Irish Festival. 14-year-old Olivia Adams, who is fighting Medullary Thyroid Cancer herself, visited the studio this morning along with Volunteer Event Organizer Angi Hamer to share her story and reasons why she’s braving the shave. Event volunteer and ‘Shavee’ Jonathon Hamer had most of his head shaved right in our studio by Barber Coordinator Allyson Wyld! Olivia has already exceeded her goal of raising $3,000 for St. Baldrick’s, and she’s not stopping there, she will have her head shaved at the event. St. Baldrick’s will be at the 2015 Church Hill Irish Festival on Saturday, March 21stand Sunday, March 22nd at St. Patrick Church, located at 213 N. 25th Street. Virginia This Morning Co-Host Greg McQuade is the Emcee for the event.
