Crash backs up traffic on I-95 south near Route 288

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Traffic is backed up for drivers on I-95 south in Chesterfield Wednesday evening.

VDOT said the interstate’s left lane was closed just north of Route 288 (mile marker 62) due to a crash.

As of 5:50 p.m., the backup was more than seven miles. However by 6 p.m., the left lane had reopened and the backup was down to five miles.

Drivers are advised to expect delays.
