DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. -- No one knows how it got there, but we do know it is now safe. A chicken spotted wandering the parking lots at the Dinwiddie Government Complex had to be rescued before it... wait for it... crossed the road.
"He got over here next to the public safety building and started crossing the road between here and gas station across the street," Dinwiddie Chief of Fire & EMS Dennis Hale said."Animal Control then was called before it [the chicken] got hit or caused an accident. He is safe now looking for owner."
The person who runs the Dinwiddie Fire and EMS Twitter had some fun with the incident.
