RICHMOND, Va. -- Virginia mothers can now legally breast-feed in any public place they want. The bill that passed unanimously in both the House and Senate was signed into law Monday evening by Gov. Terry McAuliffe at a reception marking the start of women's history month. The law is being hailed as a win for Virginia mothers.

"I’m ecstatic to see that Virginia is finally taking these steps in the right direction to defend a woman's right and to help us advocate on behalf of women,” said Rebecca Geller. “Now other women won't have to go through these problems and when they have a problem they'll have a law behind them."

Virginia was one of only three states that didn't already have such a law in place.
