HOUSTON, Tex. – It’s not just adults who are wowing the crowds with their staying power at this year’s Rodeo Houston. Kids are getting into the action, too. In fact, 13 cowboys and girls who stand nearly three feet tall were prepped for victory and TV stardom on Tuesday.

Web Lewis is a trained veteran who knows all the tricks.

"We're not gonna be on horses,” Webb Lewis explained. “We're gonna be on the sheep."

Mutton Bustin' is not for faint of heart.

"Everybody thinks it's soft, but it's not soft," he said.

Web Lewis is a trained veteran and knows all the tricks.

"My strategy is so when I get on the sheep, I'm going to hold on so tight,” he said. “I do not want to fall off."

"I think he's been planning all year for it,” said Web’s dad, Mike Lewis. “We did it last year when we came to the rodeo and he hasn't stopped talking about it."

And even though Web didn't win the competition, he is still left a winner. That’s because all the kids take home customized belt buckles.

The actual winners gets to come back on the last day of Rodeo Houston in hopes of an even bigger and shiny prize.
