HANOVER COUNTY, Va. -- The tractor-trailer crash that closed lanes on Route 301 south, near the Interstate 295 interchange, in Hanover County was not caused by Thursday's winter weather. The accident actually happened at 7 p.m. Wednesday night, several hours before the snow started to fall in Central Virginia. The winter weather has slowed the clean-up process however. The lanes will likely remained closed until noon.
Police continue to investigate what exactly caused the big rig to overturn Wednesday evening. The driver was not seriously hurt in the crash.
