RICHMOND, Va. -- Six teenagers have been charged in connection to recent brawls at John Marshall High School, according to Richmond Police. The January 28 fights involved both John Marshall students and a visitor. The first fight began around 2:11 p.m. and involved a male teenager from Petersburg and two females students, according to Richmond Police. The Petersburg teen, who arrived at the school to visit a female student, was arrested that day and taken to the juvenile detention center. A short time later, six or seven students got into another fight. At the time, police were investigating if the two fights were related. A John Marshall staff member suffered a heart attack and three other staff members were injured as they tried to break up the fights .

- Juvenile male from Petersburg was charged with disorderly conduct, trespassing and two counts of simple assault
- Juvenile male from Richmond was charged with felony mob assault, simple mob assault and trespassing
- Richmond female was charged with inciting a riot and simple mob assault
- Richmond female was charged with disorderly conduct and simple assault
- Richmond female charged with simple mob assault
- Richmond female charged with simple mob assault
Police advised the situation remained under investigation and more charges could be filed. This is a developing story.
