RICHMOND, Va -- A new survey suggests people who use emojis tend to have a spicier love life. surveyed almost six thousand single people 18 and older and found people in their 20s, 30s and 40s were more likely to have sex at least once a month if they used emojis frequently.

A Rutgers University professor who helped develop the study said the link could be because people who use emojis may be more self-expressive and, in turn, more sexual.

As for reasons behind using emojis -- half of emoji users said they thought using them gave their messages more personality.
