HENRICO County, Va. -- What police say happened at a Henrico bowling alley was far from a game.

"I think it's awful. It just shows what this society is coming to," said Sylvia Bishop.

18-year-old Thomas Lindsey Pherigo-Jackson is accused of raping two girls under the age of 13 inside of Shrader Lanes.

Last Thursday, officers responded to a suspicious situation at this location. Investigators would not comment further nor would management at Shrader Lanes, but an eyewitness bowling in league play that night did.

According to the eyewitness, two girls between the ages of 5 and 7, walked out of the bathroom crying to their mother.

He says the victims told the parent that a man had touched them. That's when, the eyewitness says the victims' mother became distraught and someone called police.

Officers arrived minutes later to find the suspect locked in a bathroom stall. The eyewitness says two hours later, police brought him out in handcuffs.

One local parent calls what happened at the family-friendly bowling alley a disturbing situation.

When asked if she thought there should be more security at local bowling alleys, Sylvia Bishop said yes.

“I don't know anything about that bowling alley,” said Bishop. “But maybe, they do need more security."

Pherigo-Jackson's parents declined to speak on camera at the courthouse. He will be arraigned Wednesday morning at Henrico's Juvenile and Domestic Relations court at 11 a.m.

The court continued his case Tuesday so that they could track down a sign language interpreter for the 18-year-old, who is deaf. He faces two counts of rape.
