An actor who appeared in the "Power Rangers" franchise is being held on $1 million bail in the stabbing death of his roommate in their Palmdale, California, home, according to law enforcement.

Joshua Sutter died after Ricardo Medina allegedly stabbed him the abdomen with a sword, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a press release.

Medina called 911 after the altercation and was interviewed by detectives, the press release said. He was booked Palmdale Sheriff's Station, where he is being held on $1 million bail.

The pair became involved in an argument Saturday that turned into a physical altercation, according to the press release. After Medina retreated to his room with his girlfriend, Sutter followed them and forced the door open.

Medina allegedly stabbed him once in the abdomen "with a sword kept next to the bedroom door."
