RICHMOND, Va. -- Police say a driver suffered minor injuries after a car slammed into a fire hydrant in Richmond Sunday afternoon.

It happened around 3:50 p.m. along the 7800 block of Cherokee Road.

There has been no word yet on what caused the crash.
