WINCHESTER, Va. — Police arrested two people in the 1700 block of Amherst Street Sunday after finding dangerous chemicals and evidence of a mobile meth lab in their car, according Winchester Police. Prior to the arrest, police found Vivian Howard, 31, and Ian Finch, 26, attempted to buy Pseudoephedrine, a common cold medicine that is also used to make methamphetamine.

Howard and Finch tried to buy the drug from multiple locations, and when that was unsuccessful, attempted to convince other people to buy it for them, police said. Howard and Finch were charged with possession of a controlled substance and manufacturing methamphetamine.

They were booked into the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center.
