RICHMOND, Va,– Richmond fire crews are on scene of a house fire in the city’s East end, Saturday afternoon.
A call for a house fire on the 4000 block of Maverick Ave came in at 2:38p.m.
Crews arrived on scene at 2:43p.m., and found heavy smoke coming from the attic and chimney, according to Richmond Fire.
All of the occupants were able to make it out safely.
The fire was marked under control at 3:13p.m.
Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire, but believe it started in the attic.
