RICHMOND: The Latin Ballet of Virginia celebrates its 15th Anniversary performance of The Legend of the Poinsettia. The production was created in 2001 by Latin Ballet's Artistic Director Ana Ines king, to give audiences the experience of the different and unique winter holiday traditions from Latin America.
The story portrays the traditions of the season in Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Spain and Puerto Rico and is based on the Mexican legend of a pure-hearted young girl who discovers the true meaning of giving.
The production opens to the public January 9th and runs through January 11th, at the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, 2880 Mountain Road, Glen Allen.
