Henrico Fire rescues driver trapped in flipped tractor-trailer off I-95N

HENRICO, Va. –Henrico Fire was first on scene of a flipped tractor trailer off Interstate 95 this morning, and they helped rescue a trapped driver.

A call for help in at 9:54 a.m. and the fire department arrived seven minutes later. They found the driver trapped in a vehicle flipped on its side, at I-95 north and I-295 north. That’s exit 84B off I-95.

Henrico Fire Department said they sent three engines, three specialty service units and one fire medic unit was assigned to the call.

The driver was extricated and has minor injuries.

The ramp onto I-295N remains closed for clean-up.
