UPDATE: The eastbound left lane of Staples Mill Rd./Rt. 33 remains closed; all other lanes have reopened, according to VDOT. The I-64 ramp has reopened.
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Police closed a quarter-mile stretch of Staples Mill Road, between Dickens Road and Dumbarton Road, due to a gas leak in the area. The road is closed in both directions, according to the Henrico Police Twitter feed.
VDOT advised the ramp from Staples Mill Road to Interstate 64 is also closed at this time.
