Morning accident creates big backup on I-95 into Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. — A five-mile backup remained after a morning accident on Interstate 95 north near Maury St. (mm 73) in Richmond. The lanes reopened around 9 a.m., VDOT said.
The crash had closed the right and center lanes, according to VDOT. Traffic was backed up three miles at 8:30 a.m.
Details about the crash have not yet been released.
