RICHMOND, Va. – A tweet mistakenly posted to Gov. Terry McAuliffe's official Twitter account about the VCU/UVA basketball game on Saturday was quickly deleted from the social media site.

The tweet from McAuliffe's account read:

"I think the refs really killed this game's momentum with a call against Jequan Lewis - Could have cut the lead to four at that point...#LetGoVCU."

Officials said a member of the governor's communication team accidentally wrote and posted the tweet from the governor's account instead of their personal account.

McAuliffe's communication director said the issue has been taken care of.
